Sgwarnog: In the Field

Moor Berries

After a blipless day I strolled out onto the moor in fading light to see what was on offer. The Yellow Flag are showing, but needed a flash to bring them out so I've left them for another day. A little further up the hill I came across these berries, just one bush in amongst the normal heather and bilberry. The bush looks like a sort of heather, and having just searched for "heather berries" I've come up with some examples, but only from the Southern Hemisphere.

Perhaps one of you is better informed, and could let me know what these are?

Stop Press: I put it on iSpot, where it's been identified as Prickly Heath and therefore a garden escape.
