Helianthus

Today, L and I decided to pay a much overdue visit to Craigtoun Park, just outside St Andrews.
Over the years some features of heritage merit have been lost, damaged or are currently in a poor state of repair due to vandalism, neglect and lack of investment.
The Friends of Craigtoun was formed in 2012 and they have been working hard to improve the park and its facilities. The gardening team are doing an excellent job maintaining and improving the beautiful landscape.
No shortage of flowers to photograph .... this rather moist sunflower bud with the bad hair do is my choice today.
I was surprised to see some flag irises still in bloom beside the lake so have included one in the extras.
