Today's the day ......................... to get into terrible trouble

It all started so well.

Anna and I took Brodie out on to the Green for a spot of exercise.  He ran miles after the ball, while we stood in the middle and had a chat - with each other and with other dog walkers.  When he began to flag, we went back to the house - and that's when it all went pear-shaped.

He loves water and he's a very good swimmer - which is presumably why he jumped in the pond.  Unfortunately the water in there is very muddy and smelly because it normally only has frogs and the odd water-beetle to cope with.  I'm sure he wasn't bothered at all about that - but all the humans got very upset.  Poor Brodie had to be subjected to a complete hose-down - and he wasn't allowed back inside until he had dried off a bit. 

Oh dear - it's a dog's life .............................
