Leucanthemum x superbum


I have recently Blipped an 'extra photo' of one of these before they opened but over the past couple of days they have come to life.


This image hasn't been cropped, I used my 50mm prime lens with a 12mm extension tube. My main aim for the image was to show the Fibonacci sequence, a fascinating quirk of nature.


The centre is about 25mm across with each stigma being about 1mm, getting even smaller towards the middle. Rather tiny...
