Sir John Betjeman at St Pancras

Up in London again for another meeting about content for a virtual learning environment. Covered a considerable amount of ground but so much more could have been achieved if all parties had pulled their weight and followed up on contacts and solutions we'd provided.

Still, it was a pleasant commuting journey until we arrived at Victoria where a vast army of people shuffled their way slowly off the station concourse into the Underground. It doesn't pay to be in a hurry at this time of the day. Hoards of people trying to get to work mismatched with many tourists uncertain as to where they need to be, dragging suitcases on wheels behind them.

The journey home was much better. I had time to pop into St Pancras International Station to soak up the atmosphere of a busy station and to admire Sir John before getting the tube back to Victoria.  But then it was outside the rush hour, arriving back in Bearsted at 4.30 giving time for an evening stroll around and about Mote Park before going to Wetherspoons Muggleton's Inn with Chris and Wendy for a jolly good evening out.
