A friend had gasped in concern a few days before regarding the hazardous projection of these aged branches on a climbing rose when we were investigating what is newly growing in the garden after all the rain. On reflection I decided to cut back this corner blow waiting for anybody else. 

Truly I was surprised I managed to 'sandpaper' through the base of this bifurcated branch with a 3.75AUD baby saw.
