Downtown metropolis

At about midday, Project Leader J realised that we were supposed to have moved out of our lovely cottage that morning. Cue mad dash up the road, clearing out food and clothes and phone-chargers and the other impedimenta of modern life...
It was only after I got back to site that I realised that I'd left a drawer-full of underwear behind. Thank heavens it was the clean ones!
So, tonight we were placed in a grotty B&B (nice owner, though), and had to eat out in the throbbing heart of Blackburn... this turns out to mean either fried chicken or the local Weatherspoon pub. Hmmmm.
I was sure Shandonner would appreciate the lines of the telephone exchange we passed on the way back, though! The roadwork barriers are typical of the centre of town, as well; the whole place is a warren of temporary one way systems...
