Do you remember?..

..when all telegraph poles looked like this. They would have carried many cables instead of just one, complete with arms and insulators.. There are quite a few of these still in use as poles along the back road from Invershin to Lairg. I spotted these a couple of years ago, but only went back today to get the picture.

Went to Bonar Bridge to meet Donald the Hen from Skye in a random lay-by. All sorts of vehicles converged on this lay-by, at the allotted time. Monies, and hens, are exchanged, and the gathering disperses to whence they came. We now have around 50 hens again, and hopefully production will go up again.

Dull and wet for most of the day, and now sat watching a DVD (The Viking Queen [Hammer House of Horror!]) with the fire lit.. A few beers too..!!
