Past their best

The row of agapanthus along the neighbour's roadside are covered in dead heads, providing a quick blip this afternoon with the late sun.

Have had a fairly physical day....Ian and I spread quite a bit of the 3 truck loads of mulch that the local contractor has dropped off...he is pleased to find a home for it. It is going under all the native shrubs in the garden, hopefully keeping it tidy over the summer, although I suspect the blackbirds will have a good go at spreading it everywhere as they search in it for worms.
After such a wet day yesterday it was nice to get outside. The wind was pretty cold coming off the lake, even woke to a light dusting of snow on the mountain. We are certainly getting a real winter this year.
