Neuschwanstein

Another day of fabulous weather in Bavaria. We're staying barely 30 minutes from the famous Neuschwanstein Castle so it really was a must visit. Famously this is the inspiration for the Disney castle.

We walked up to Marienbrucke (Mary’s Bridge) for the classic view, it said a 40 minute walk but despite the climb and the heat we managed it in half the time (the girls reckoned it was a conspiracy to get everyone to buy a bus ticket!). I (Chris) climbed a little higher but actually the better view, shown here, was from the bridge. After plenty of photos for all and time to let legs recover we walked down for a well deserved drink and ice cream. The weather is still looking  more than a little variable later in the week so we're ticking off the good-weather-required locations as a priority.

Annie's loving the scenery here so has threatened looking at property prices this evening!
