A Journey down Memory Lane

Been an eventful day visiting Kinghorn where I went to Primary School and Kirkcaldy where I went to the High School. Never been back since leaving school - my goodness, the changes are unimaginable. First I visited the Kirkcaldy Galleries  to view the Great Tapestry of Scotland.  The Burns one in the Collage is only one of many that I enjoyed.  The beach is the Kinghorn beach with Inchkeith in the middle of the Firth of Forth. As kids we used to fantasize that there was a tunnel from a cave on the mainland out to the island. Maybe there was but we never found it. The Church where I went to Sunday School is no longer a Church but is used as a Church Hall.  Had a great chat with the lady and her daughter whose job it is to water the hanging flower baskets. She told me the Minister still gives sermons in the Hall for elderly people who can't walk to the now Parish Church. The boat of flowers with the lobster creel is probably the only sort of fishing that goes on there today. And then thee is the train that took me home - unlike Holly Cole who you can hear HERE!  Have a nice evening!
