Be prepared for the unexpected!

Today saw me powering off down the runway ... Taking off and climbing away ... My backseat pax tells me to 'to pull the prop back' - I reply 'I am' but nothing was happening and our beast (the yak!) had 110% prop ... Eeeek! Emergency tight circuit back into Elmsett (which earnt us a telephone call complaining about noise abatement procedures!!!!) and straight over to maintenance guys (problem partially solved ... Further head scratching required!). Thank goodness we were prepared for the unexpected!!!!
We were on our way into Wattisham for the Army's families day for a display slot which we had to cancel on (but found them a replacement yak 3 act!). We manage to fly in using another (non-aerobatic) a/c and enjoyed looking over the US Osprey and RAF Chinook amongst over things. Highlight of the afternoon was the Apache Display team and their pyrotechnic guys on their 'home airfield' . We were warned about the loud pyros but thought they were ok ... Until the end sequence captured in today's photo ... We were unprepared for that!!!!!
