Pond in afternoon sun

You must note that "sun" is an important ingredient in this photo, if only because we've seen so little of it this summer ... In fact as I took this photo it was raining quite heavily, sun or no sun, and it was only the exuberant foliage of a maple tree above me that made photography possible. (You can make out the individual plops of rain in the surface of the pond.)

Benmore Gardens again, and once more at a time when all the more normal visitors have left. Although the car park was quite busy when we arrived, and the tables outside the cafe had people sitting over tea and buns, we saw no-one the whole time we were in the gardens and yet again were able to indulge the fantasy that it was ours .... all ours.

But then we might have had to mow the grass ...
