Bohuntin Hill

I don't think Mrs SJR has been up here since starting jogging. M's recollection of an unrelentingly steep and punishing gradient all the way to the top is accurate enough but by her own admission today's ascent was much easier than anticipated.
We had great views in all directions and Caley was in fine form with an ability to be oblivious to the gradient repeatedly retrieving his ball back up hill.
We descended by a new route to the north, giving a circular walk and a slightly less steep descent. I believe we found another of Bonny Prince Charlie's caves. A Roy Bridge barman told me of its existence a few months ago (probably the last time I was in a pub) but was unable to pinpoint its location other than to say to the north side of Bohuntin Hill. It's not a cave in the usual sense but a rocky recess which would afford reasonable, if uncomfortable, protection from the elements and  concealment from government soldiers. The location would make sense as the story goes that he made his way through "The Window" a high pass in the mountains between Creag Meagaidh and Stob Poit Coire Ardair beyond which you drop in to Glen Roy.
