mull #3

Today was a bit bleak again but we decided to get out of the house and head along the coastal road to the north of the island. Beautiful views everywhere you look but fairly hairy driving. Tiny roads that hug the coastline and hairpin bends that leave you breathless. It took us a few hours drive to reach Calgary beach (above) which was recommended to us by Christopher in Killin. It was stunningly beautiful and the sea was blue, but you couldn’t help but imagine what it might be like on a beautiful summers day. We stopped for a little picnic, a walk along the beach (Sakala enjoyed picking seashells) but unfortunately it was just too cold for a paddle.

Onwards along even more hair-raising roads leading finally to Tobermory. A veritable metropolis compared to everywhere else in Mull.

We are currently enjoying a lovely pint and some free wifi, knowing that it’s the last we’ll get until Saturday (wifi, not pint - I’m not driving that road again!).

I’ve backblipped the last few days. See you on Saturday blippers.
