Just got me wondering how much water there would be in this picture. We were working in probably the wettest corner of the wettest area in the Highlands. It can rain three days out of two in Kinlochleven.
While the aluminium smelter is gone now its dedicated hydro electric power house and associated dam and penstock remain in use and feed power to the grid. Its location choice is no accident.
The image; this is looking down to Loch Leven with the Pap of Glencoe to the left and Mam na Gualainn to the right . They are of rematkably similar profile and height standing sentry like north and south of the loch
