Last day in Condom

Big travel day tomorrow.

Had a fab lunch today with the local fire crew in a great place which isn't even listed on Tripadvisor yet. Big walk down the river to a hydro mill which looks like it is from the 1950s. Walked back through the park where people were dog walking, children walking and working out. It's been dull and grey with spitting rain for most of the day.

This is a large alcove in Condom Cathedral which is huge and beautiful inside. The ceilings are architecturally something else. Outside is a sculpture of the 3 muscateers and their companion. I've tried to edit this three times now as the app is going nuts on both my phone and iPad so if there are loads of typos or words that don't make sense then that is why. This evening ate at a place which is a restaurant set in a old chapel. The stained glass windows were nice and the staff were super friendly. I'm pleased the goody part of the holiday has ended with some interesting finds such as chocolate sorbet being something worth trying and basil and tomato ice cream being much more delicious than it sounds. Tomorrow a trip up north will end at La Rochelle, rather worried about finding the hotel and the drive up but will have to take it as it comes!
