Singing Trees

Summer in Japan is marked by a cicada symphony with the males singing their songs of lurve... Cue Marvin or Barry...

Music to the ears of the lady cicadas I'm sure, but to the rest of us it's merely deafening. 120 decibels worth of deafening which starts as soon as there is a glimpse of morning sun. Fortunately they go quiet at night!
