A Brit abroad, currently living and working in Japan.

I am very definitely an amateur picture taker and rely heavily on my trusty iPhone which these days makes a pretty good handbag camera! When I plan ahead I use a Nikon J5.

Introduced to Blip by Maud, it started as a short term project to chart my last few weeks in Jordan before I set off on a new challenge. Blipfoto seemed like a great place to collect some of my favourite memories.  In August 2012 I arrived in Japan which is quite simply a Blipper's paradise.

On days when I am overwhelmed by work, my default Blip is often food.  The other perfect 'Emergency Blip' is Ziggy Stardust, famous International woofer and connoisseur of cheese and chicken who responds as well to the word 'Blip'  as  he does to  the standard commands of 'sit', 'down' and 'noooooo!'

Whilst I am seeing very gradual improvements in the quality of the photographs that I take, the community element of Blip has overtaken any desire I may have mistakenly harboured to be the next Annie Leibovitz.   Making connections with Blippers from all over the world and seeing a tantalising glimpse into their lives is by far the most fascinating aspect of this experience.  Love it!
