Carnaby Black Cockatoo

I took milo for a walk this afternoon, the silence in the park was broken by the loud screeching of the Carnaby's flying overhead, just recently they fly over the coast here in flocks and land in the tree tops further away, today they perched in the trees in the park, there were dozens of them, these two caught my eye, the female was clearly showing her affections for her partner, the males have black beaks the female has a white beak. 
They will soon fly inland to the wheatbelt where they will nest and raise their young laying two eggs but only managing to raise one chick, they are declining in numbers and are on the endangered list, it was good to see them in numbers ...
