NHM: Waterhouse's Details

More ornate in large.

Today I photographed terracotta details in the central hall... Alfred Waterhouse was the architect behind the 'cathedral of nature': he not only designed the building's structure, but personally designed the vast majority of the terracotta details and ornate panels found throughout the building.
I wasn't sure which detail to blip, but thought that this image highlighted something: people almost all seem to wander past without admiring these wonderful details.
