On the morning of the village fete

For many decades Church Knowle's annual fete has been held in the rectory garden.  The rectory is now the "Old Rectory", as it has been in private ownership since the late 1970s.

The rectory building can be seen in the background.  It is in fact a 19th century addition to the much smaller, older rectory behind it.

The fete will be in full swing in three hours' time.
