Sheltering

Today was Open Day' at Birnie Loch Local Nature Reserve but few turned up because of the poor weather: overcast, cold and intermittent rain.

Nothing of note to blip from Birnie loch so took a detour round the neighbouring Gaddon Loch where I had to take temporary shelter under a tree.

After the shower, I had a quick look through the flower meadow. Just two or three hardy bees until a pale patch caught my eye under a thistle leaf. Bingo. A small white - Pieris rapae.
