Parties

I, who do not go to parties, went to two today. First the summer barbecue of the employer who is about to make me redundant where everything on the surface was sweetness and light. Second, our lovely neighbour's where I was pleased to note that from her beautiful and well-ordered garden there is no hint of the chaos on our side of the wall.
