Get Off the Road

A walk through the forests and fields around Lowther finding new routes and paths. This place has really grown on me, I always thought it was a bit dark and spooky, some of the little hidden places and old woodland paths are beautiful.

I took this one walking back onto the road near Hackthorpe, the clouds looked really intense against the ground so I decided to get a wide angle shot of the road with both the fields. For this shot I contrasted all the different aspects of the photo (fields, sky, road), using the contrast layer adjustment and quick mask to map out which bits I wanted to add more contrast to.
