Vintage Whitby

I had a good day out today first visiting Whitby and then going to see a Gooseberry Show - yes gooseberries! Whitby was packed with holiday makers and I decided to do a 'Frank Sutcliffe' version of this typical view - my second vintage look in a few days.
I have also added 2 of the Gooseberry Show in Egton Bridge, not far from Whitby, so eccentrically english.  It was established in 1800. If you are interested look it up in the internet. I loved how some of the gooseberries were put on little pedestals. Cups of tea and gorgeous cakes baked by the ladies of the village were available, so we sampled some of course - well done bakers. Fish and chips on the way home finished the day off very well.
