Rain clouds over Hoy

We left Westray in glorious sunshine after a bit of a mad dash to the ferry because someone had left her jacket at the hotel where we had dinner last night (and someone else was a bit too laid back about packing this morning...)

Two ferries later we arrived in Hoy, where we were greeted by these rather ominous rain clouds. Fortuntately our accommodation is just 10 minutes from the ferry terminal. Unfortunately it is not really to our liking: I certainly can't see how the enthusiastic Tripadvisor reports match with what we have experienced here so far. At least we are only staying here a couple of days and we should be out and about most of the time that we are on the island.

Exercise today:  20 miles of tandem riding.
