Things to get before Saturday, and so to the Trafford Centre.

I know people who have never been to the TC on principle after the planning wars of the 1980's and 90's, and some can be very sniffy about the whole place. I'm not a big fan, much preferring the city centre, but it is hugely popular, attracts people you don't see elsewhere in numbers (lots of families with the women and girls in colourful saris and headgear), and if you accept that the whole thing is one big stage set - it has its place. And it's convenient for us on the way home. So we got what we needed, and then went to Cafe Rouge.

There are things I just find very funny too about the place - like Roman emporers and gods dotted around randomly in one area to give the place a bit of class. I particularly like the ones protecting the toilets, but would have been arrested if I had blipped those ! So these will do. Made of Chinese marble and no doubt manufactured in Sichuan, or some such place.
