Chickory

I had coffee with an old friend today, in Portslade followed by a good chat and catch up. On the way home I stopped off beside the busy road out of Shoreham to get a shot of this beautiful Chickory which grows wild there.
Chickory, Cichorium intybus is a very attractive member of the daisy family, with stunning blue flowers throughout the summer and early autumn.
I have posted a close up shot to show the tiny saw flies that were feeding on it, I don't know what species they are, so if anyone does I would be very grateful.
