The Poplars Reflected.

Despite a forecast for a fine day we awoke to a cold wet one. However the skies cleared after lunch and the sun shone brightly on the lake at the Taylor Dam. I made a quick trip there after visiting a friend in hospital. The winter-bare poplars were beautifully reflected in the waters of the outlet of the dam.
Earlier in the morning I spent time researching the availability of deciduous azaleas. I have ordered four of the fragrant variety in tones of subtle pinks and creams. They were not available locally so are being shipped from the North Island in the next few days. So now I am keeping my fingers crossed for some warmer fine days so I can prepare the garden for these beauties.
