Spring Bling

I thought I'd give the Canon a whirl today, when I saw a shaft of sunlight on this tiny miniature daffodil which is flowering right outside the front door.

And I was reminded again that what the Canon does so very well is blur the background, giving a delicious crispness to the bits that are in focus and a lovely softening of the bits that aren't in focus.

So, a maximum today of 16 degrees C, which is the warmest it's been for days and days and days, a daffodil in flower, and a shaft of sunlight.  Spring must be on the way.

Much as I love the Olympus, I won't be giving the Canon away just yet.
