She's Home!

Well at least for a couple more weeks!  Becky joined us from the States whilst we were in Scotland and she came home with us yesterday as we now have lots of cooking etc to do for Jen and Pete's wedding in two weeks' time.  It's just the best to have her with us again.

Yesterday's drive home from Glen Affric was something of a trial.  After my very long 'money's worth' run on Day 5 I decided against going out on the final day as we really needed to get home and several hours away.  We got away from the event smartly and reached Inverness to discover a light flashing on the dashboard and the car doing strange things.  Two hours in a car dealership carpark on an industrial estate and lovely AA man Robin replaced an ailing part and we were off again.  Tony had agreed to deposit some urgently needed equipment at Richmond on the way home, which was quite a detour for us, not helped by the A1 being closed south of Scotch Corner.  What ensued was much traversing of minor country roads nearing midnight, to try to find a way back on to the A1 (the diversion signs were USELESS!) further south.  Home and bed were reached something after 1am.  I'm leaving the rest of the family in bed till they wake this morning!!
