Fred & Andy

Amazing view from Padar

After a rocky night's sleep we continue with our safari today. The divers do a few dives and Fred does a little bit of snorkelling - Chiara stays by her side at all times! She's a little scared but thinks its best to just get back in. On reflection, the freediving course did her well for yesterday's experience as she's sure she would have panicked more without it.

The reality of yesterday really hits home as we sit and look out at the huge ocean and see the horrendous currents that Komodo National Park is famous for.

We do more trekking on Padar and there are some amazing views. As we get back to the boat we realise the camera is broken - the screen is gone. Its done us well for this trip but its finally caput. We just hope we can still get the photos from the memory card. The challenge of blip becomes harder once again!

We then head to another island to see some flying foxes at dusk with a cold beer. The divers do a night dive at pink beach and we moor up for the in a calmer spot. We later find out there was a Komodo dragon spotted on Padar today ... another close shave!
