Colours and textures of Ullapool

Settling in to our little cottage in Ullapool :-)
Today we headed out to Ardmair to spent a lovely morning ,despite the showers, looking out to the Summer Isles, reading our books and admiring Ben More Coigach :-)
We then travelled back to Ullapool for lunch at the Ceilidh Place and to view the exhibition there celebrating 20 years of Bridge House Art's portfolio course with work of former students :-)
Whilst there we met Joanna, one of the artists featured, who we know from previous courses so we had a quick catch up :-)
From the Ceilidh Place we headed for Ceard a new venture for our friend Jan and other like minded artisans :-)
Ceard features contemporary Scottish crafts and is proving successful and is allowing Jan to concentrate on her twin interests of art and medical herbalism :-)
We then went to the An Talla Solais exhibition where we enjoyed a wander round and viewed some striking art work:-)
A stroll round the town followed and we saw the Loch Seaforth approaching Ullapool which was quite an impressive sight :-)
Tomorrow's course beckons .......
