The Solent

A leisurely morning saw us stroll along the Solent at Stokes Bay in bright sunshine with a gentle breeze.

Hundred of boats dotted the water as far as the eye could see, many probably practicing for Cowes Week. One day I'll be able to join them out there in my own vessel. Well, you can dream can't you.

Despite this shot being taken at the height of the sun, I was pretty pleased with the overall effect. The cloud in the sky offered some interest and the groynes helped divide up the foreground.

Then it was back for lunch before setting off to do battle with the A3 and M25. We were pleasantly surprised to experience a faultless ride home. So different to Friday.
