I haven't been this pleased with America since Six Feet Under first aired. Nice that the planet got a mention in the speech, too.

The candidates for the Glenrothes by-election look very odd in comparison. No fancy big stages and debates for them when there are roundabouts and shopping centres to be lurked within. What possessed the nasty party to complete their campaigning by standing in a field with an eagle remains unknown; perhaps they thought the headline "WILD BIRD RIPS TORY NEW NOSE" on bills outside newsagents will get more votes.

Three hours' paint-stripping this evening have left me no time to attempt to find my soldering iron and the flat smelling slightly of boiled paint. Neither is a pleasing fact.
