Tiny Bird

I'll grant you that it might be a stretch to use a bird for Tiny Tuesday, but really - it's such tiny bird relative to most birds. And besides, he looked directly at me and said "Blip me!" so how could I not? A male Ruby-throated Hummingbird, obviously. Activity at our three feeders has ramped way up during the past week or so. I guess they're getting ready to head back to Costa Rica before too much longer! And this year's young will be doing the incredible journey for the first time. Absolutely mind boggling.

The extra is a Silver-spotted Skipper on Buddleia. The Silver-spotted Skipper is the one Skipper I can actually identify without any trouble at all.
