This is our anniversary weekend and friends have treated us to a weekend at Finca Cortesin.

I blipped this place earlier in the year - part of the golf course, and the Moorish ceiling in the chill out bar. I also did an article referencing the property, back in the Spring.

These candles are in the corridor outside the room; forgive the continued lack of inspiration but as soon as we checked in I went to terrace and lay there doing nothing for 3 hours!

It's shameful really as this place is so photogenic, but despite my journal that cultivates my image of a blessed life, we really needed this weekend to do very, very little :-)

P.S. Sunday is actually our anniversary. After some years together, we got married on 17 June 2010 with a superb reception on the 19th June. Spain is one of the few countries on the planet that offers total equality - extraordinary no, that we are in the 21st Century and yet so many supposedly civilised countries still struggle with the notion of genuine equality...
