Another farm inspection over!

Today was our FABL (quality assurance)  inspection.  We always dread it as there is always more bureaucratic hassle every year, such as do we record every time we wash out the JCB bucket!!!  Worming the dog must be entered into the Medecine Book but nothing is done about the badgers and foxes and feral cats who stray into the yard!

T spent the whole of yesterday collating the paperwork.  The unknown inspector arrived at 2 pm on the dot and turned out to be really nice and sensible.  They took half an hour to inspect the farm and two and a half hours going through all the paperwork!  This was the first time T had done it by himself and we passed with flying colours!  Phew for another year!  The inspectors are always good if they have been farmers themselves.  He did say there w ere some new faces who had never farmed and had come straight from DEFRA who were to be reckoned with so I hope we don't get one next year!
