City scene......

Ahhhh, the city.    JK and I headed down to pioneer square to look at art on a day that was predicted to get to 88 degrees.  Went especially to see Mike's ( blipper mmnaylor) work which Is hanging in a lovely quilt shop.   The weather turned cool and dark so we headed inside for lunch early and missed 5 minutes of lightning, thunder and downpour!  This iPhone photo made me think of Renoir's cafe scenes , only with modern construction equipment.  I am seated right across from the quilt shop and you can almost see Mike's drawings and photos under the digger, inside on the wall- right before the downpour and umbrellas came out. JK's arm is on the right.  A more "Renoiresque" arm on the left! :-)
Home for a little rest before Verdi's Nabucco tonight -being performed for the first time at Seattle Opera!  Looking forward to it!
