Glengorm

We walked at Glengorm - much duller weather today . Winding through the meadows past the castle where apartments can be rented we headed to the old pier. The lichens on the trees as we walked were stunning - the air is just so clear! James Forsyth of Quinish who purchased the estate and had the resident crofters cleared cruelly - an old woman told him he should name it 'Glengorm' which he didn't realise meant 'blue - smoke' - either the smoke seen as the cottages burnt or the smoke from the chimneys of the crofters!
