A day of culture.

An annual event for several years now. Knottman and Mrs.K. with six old friends go to an event in the Lake District International Summer Music Festival.

This year it was a morning concert by the Frith Piano Quartet who played Schuman, Bridge and Dvorak in the handsome interior of Ambleside Parish Church.

The photo shows the main church window taken during the concert interval from comfortable chairs on Row G. The church is a handsome building designed by Gilbert Scott, he being the architect for, among many other good things, the St. Pancras Station Hotel.
