Precision Measuring

Sat out in the sun today in Myrtle Park, Bingley, watching a Crown Green Bowling match.  Very entertaining and surprisingly interesting.
This is an important moment when one of the 'official measurers' (the lady on the right) is called in to adjudicate on who has the closest bowl.
The measure used is of non stretch nylon or wire cord and a non slip locking button. Very serious stuff this :-)
