Anticipation

It is Children's Gala Day today and, despite the rain, lots of families turned out to enjoy the fun. The beauty of our gala lies in its simplicity. You can give your children a couple of pounds and they can have a go on everything (and always come away with a prize!). There are races and a magician, bran tub, tombola, bottle game, crazy kitchen etc and a fantastic tea tent where you can feed the family on sandwiches, cake and tea (all homemade) for under a tenner. I went down to watch the parade through the village and then Jen and I did our shift on pop & crisps. Just along from us the kids were enjoying taking their turns under the water bucket!
