Yamaha Gas Tank Repaint

I realized today how fast the summer is speeding by… it’s mid-August already.
 Yikes!
My old Yamaha motorcycle project was put on hold just after I repaired and sealed its gas tank back in May.
Cross country trips, camping, rebuilding the 1980 Peugeot bicycle, Century ride training all conspired to put the Yamaha on the back burner.
It’s high time to start up and finish the planned Yamaha repairs… beginning with completing the gas tank by repainting it.
Prepped, primed, and finished this afternoon… two days of drying and reassembly are all that’s remaining on the tank.
Next is dismantling the front fork and replacing the seals.
Then removing the right side engine cover to discover the cause of the occasional evil noise arising there from.
Hopefully the old Yamaha will provide some warm summer cruising delights very soon.

Likely I’ll be just as happy with some chilly autumn cruising delights.
