The Fly's Watering Hole

Wandering round the garden I noticed flies gathering on an upturned snail's shell which was full of water (at least that is what I tell myself). To get this shot I had to push the ISO to be able to hand-hold the camera while achieving a reasonable depth of field and focus. This was the best of a number taken from a series shot over 10mins or so.

While I love my 60mm macro lens, this is one time when a longer macro lens would help as I could have stood back so as not to scare the beasties and possibly used the tripod!
