All change at the Col du Torrent

Last night's torrential rain fell as snow just a little higher than us. At daybreak the hills were mostly white, and even though as we ate breakfast in the fabulous Hotel du Sage I could see it was melting, you could sense the nervousness and aprehension in the clients - heading into the cloud and into the unknown it was daunting for them.

In the end the fabulous new pathway up from Villaz made easy work of it, though stood on the col at 2917m it was very cold, probably nearly 30degC colder than two weeks ago when I took this;
