Mudflat

On the "beach" of Nordstrand.
Haha, the giant sandy beach had the size of a pitch :-D
But it was low tide and I had the opportunity to participate a guided tour into the mudflat with my daughter.
We learned a lot about this unique landscape and why there is ebb and flow. We found tiny (VERY tiny, 1-8mm) snails, which are very fast, because they fix on the surface of the water and surf on it.
We found very smal crabs (see extra), which were running sideways and were hidding very quickly.
And we learned that the heaps, which were all over the ground, were made by rockworms. They live in the ground, eat the sand, filter it and segregate the clean sand. There are so many rockworms that all the sand of the mudflat will be cleaned in one year!
