Hallig Nordstrandischmoor

The boys were hiking or staying at home for learning and dogsitting, while we (daughter, girlfriend and me) made an excursion with a boat to the Hallig Nordstrandischmoor. It is a sort of Island in the mudflat. There are 4 houses on it, each on a hill. The Hallig is flooded about 30 time each year. Then only the houses stay outside the sea. That causes  very unique plants, which grow only there. They have to survive in a very salty ground. You can see two examples in the extras.
There live 24 people on the island and there is Germays smallest school with 4 pupils, educated from one teacher.
I think it is not easy to live there, but the residents wouldn't like to live anywhere else.

Later the boat visited sand banks inhabited form lots of seals.
