Sick Car Saga -Part 2

A Happy Ending
After behaving beautifully to get to her place in the ferry queue last night, our car was coaxed rather unwillingly onto the boat as though she knew she was going either to the vet or the knacker's yard as soon as she reached the mainland.

His Lordship and I fell into our bunks at midnight and got up seven hours later to take her off and park her for the recovery vehicle while we went back on board the ship for breakfast.

Thereafter things went smoothly, she was decanted at His Lordship's cousin's Ford garage in Forfar, the trailer was exchanged for our bike carrier, the luggage transferred and a driver took us home.

Now we wait to see if the car is saveable at a reasonable cost or whether we will go carless and invest in a tandem mobility scooter. Now there's a thought!

Thank you Derek and Dorothy and the Orcadian blippers who offered their help, IainatCreel, Poppy, and Northern , not forgetting Tiggy in Edinburgh who was heard to suggest she drive north to rescue us.
